All 16 students in the unit submitted coursework. The average coursework mark was
56%.
Analysis and reflection marking criteria:
- The average mark was 29/50 and the most common mark was 25/50.
- Low marks were given for articles which contained historical descriptions or copy of company marketing claims.
- Many articles needed more analytical content based on comparative examples or calculations.
Evidence of research marking criteria:
- The average mark was 16/30 and the most common mark was 18/30.
- Many articles were limited to the use of company websites, Wikipedia and Google.
- Articles needed to use a wider range of research sources in order to identify different perspectives for analysis.
Writing mechanics marking criteria:
- The average mark was 11/20 and the most common mark was 10/20.
- Many articles did not use the correct Harvard APA citation and referencing format. Please check before the next coursework.
- One article did not even have a title. Many articles needed to make better use of the title, headers and paragraphs to support their writing.
