Response to case study scenario 1
I do not agree with my supervisor about what he suggest and I will propose him to contact our customer (the important client) and tell him that there are three flash memory not work properly and we are sorry about that mistake. I will tell him also (My supervisor) to make investigation about that and find out the reasons that cause the problem and make sure it will not happen in the future “A disease known is half cured” to avoid the corollary from such mistakes with such clients.
I make my decision depend on:
First: The customer is the nucleus of the business atom that effect very hard on the business of any company and in our case we are dealing with important client it is useful to remember the following points:
1. Repeat business is the backbone of selling. It helps to provide revenue and certainty for the business.
2. Organisations are dependent upon their customers. If they do not develop customer loyalty and satisfaction, they could lose their customers.
3. Without customers the organisation would not exist.
4. The purpose of the organisation is to fulfill the needs of the customers.
5. The customer makes it possible to achieve business aims
And that will effect on our company in different ways:
• creating lack of confidence and that will effect on our relationships with the other clients which mean difficult and more process in dealing with them , and that also lead to loss the new clients the company intend to obtain in the future and the result of that losing the business and the competitions with other companies and the company need time to change that bad picture.
• The reputation of the company will affect by such things especially with the big mouth of the press which “Add fuel to the fire”.
Second: The legal consequence that may produce by these three USB flashes where the test report say it may cause fire hazard and that may be lead to a fire in a building, a house, an office, etc.” It is better to be safe than sorry”, so prevent happening such things will relieve the company from bad consequences which can effect badly on the future of the company.
